HERE’S TO HOMETOWNS: The Van Boekel family entered a video to the Pioneer “Here’s to Hometowns” giveaway and reached the final four this week to be eligible to win the grand prize of $50,000 to be split among four charities in the Hickson community. THE BELLS OF PEACE: Walter Fuhr stands in the belfry at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tavistock. His great uncle, Adam Fuhr, was contracted for $720 for the carpentry work for the church when it was built in 1881. The bells were made by the Buckeye Bell Foundry in Cincinnati, Ohio.
