Members of the Tavistock Orioles, winners of Saturday’s Sno-Pitch Tournament, are front row, left to right, Brian Stere, Brad Stere, Brad Winhold, Darren Stewart, Dave Frey; centre row, Shelley Kaufman, Donna Winhold, Donna Rosenberg, Wendy Moser, Brad Zehr; and back row, Steve Kaufman, Pete Rosenberg, Bruce Pletsch, Randy Fryfogel, and Keith Zehr. Although it was labelled a “Sno-Pitch” tournament (3-pitch baseball rules played on a snow covered field), this year’s event was far from the perfect snowy weather of last season. Mild conditions changed the field from an early morning ice pad-to a soggy, sloppy, muddy and downright messy diamond. Eight teams played off in the double-knockout style tournament.
