The official opening of the 2016 U21 Men’s Fastpitch Canadian Championship was held on Tuesday evening, August 2nd at Queen’s Park. Participating in the ceremony were, from the left, Master of Ceremonies Jamie Woodend, Keith Wagler, OASA President Gary Waugh, Tavistock Minor Ball President Brian Wagler, Co-Chair Kyle Smith, Pam Zehr, East Zorra-Tavistock Mayor Don McKay, Kelsey Ramseyer, Kris Hohl, Softball Canada Supervisor Lisa Down, Clive Lawry, Softball Canada Deputy Supervisor Bob Abbot, Alex Fowler (anthem), Deputy Warden Sandra Talbot, and Oxford MP Dave MacKenzie. Behind are the 13 teams participating in this week’s tournament.
Keith Wagler threw the ceremonial first pitch to his grandson Justin Wagler of the Tavistock Juniors to officially open the U21 tournament on Tuesday night.

U21 NATIONAL TOURNAMENT IS UNDERWAY: The official opening of the 2016 U21 Men’s Fastpitch Canadian Championship was held on Tuesday evening, August 2nd at Queen’s Park. Alan and Sherrill Calder took their favourite home- town paper on their fishing vacation to Frontier Fishing Lodge at Lutsel K’e on Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories.
