Coach/Pitch Softball

Members of the Tavistock Coach/Pitch Softball Team #1 played Milverton on Tuesday evening, May 26. A cool breeze kept many players and their parent spectators bundled up for the game. Here are a few photos from the game.

Ice Cream Truck

Michael Dogantzis and his Mega Cone Ice Cream truck came through Tavistock on Sunday evening, May 24, 2009. Excited groups of young children lined the streets for a treat after hearing his familiar tunes playing in the neighbourhood and long before they saw the truck coming up the street.

Softball Skills Camp

The Tavistock Minor Ball Softball Skills Camp was held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Queen’s Park in Tavistock with 64 young players enrolled. Members of the Kitchener Rivershark Twins and Team Canada helped Minor Ball co-president Dave Bailey with the day’s events. There were four sessions, base running, bunting and sliding; hitting; throwing; and catching.
